Old Man’s War by John Scalzi

My review of Old Man’s War by John Scalzi is up over at Fantasybookspot. I enjoyed this book – it was a fun and entertaining read, which is what I’ve come to expect now that I’ve read this and The Android’s Dream. It lacks the philosophical punch of something like Starship Troopers or The Forever War, but does entertain. 7/10

Loved Old Man's War, Ghost Brigades, and now The Android's Dream. John Scalzi has quickly become a favorite science fiction author. I even ordered The Sagan Diaries off of Subterranean Press just so that I could get a Scalzi fix before The Last Colony comes out.

I enjoy Scalzi's books for what they are - good fun reading. I haven't gotten to Ghost Brigades yet, but I will soon - I just got word that I have a copy of The Last Colony coming my way in the mail for a FBS review.

I couldn't be more jealous of you Neth! I can't wait to read this. I agree, his books are what they are, fun, entertaining reads. By and large I prefer this in my science fiction reading.

I will be putting Forever War on my list, thanks for the recommendation.
